I'm excited to tell you about my book, and want to provide you some tools to help you sell my book more effectively.

I use Clickbank, so you have to have a Clickbank account to sell my book. But once you have your account, you're ready to go.

If you do not yet have an account with clickbank, click the link to Join My Affiliate Program.

NOW, if you are going to post a link to my sales page from email messages, from text ads, or from a website, there are a couple of ways to link to my sales page...

FIRST, there is the typical hoplink method.

You just point potential customers to my sales page with a link like this:

http://hop.clickbank.net/?YOURID/jimstone

where you replace the "YOURID" with the affiliate ID that you chose when you established your account with clickbank.

SECOND -- and this is my preferred method -- you can use a link that looks like this:

http://www.stop-cheating.com/#YOURID

where you replace the "YOURID" with your Clickbank affiliate ID.

Now, the reason I prefer this method is that it makes it less likely that your visitors will recognize your link as an affiliate link, and they will be less suspicious of your recommendation.

Go ahead and test the second method by typing
www.stop-cheating.com/#YOURID (substituting your affiliate ID) into the address bar of your browser.

Then order the book, and bail out on the credit card page. It works. You will see your affiliate id at the bottom of the page.

In the end, however, you are free to choose whichever linking style you want, but, in order to maximize your sales, I want to share with you . . .

"A note about how to promote this book"

I've been told by some pretty smart people that 95% of my affiliates won't make me or themselves any money selling my book. And the reason is mostly a matter of technique.

You'll notice that I don't provide any banners for you to post on your website. From what I've experienced and read, they just don't work. Now I'm open to just about anything. If you can show me how banners have worked well for you, and you want me to create a banner for you, let me know.

But again, my considered opinion is that they generally don't work very well.

My own experience has taught me that if you want to be a successful affiliate, you've got to learn the art of the pre-sell.

If you are new to affiliate marketing, or if you just haven't read it yet, the best advice I can give you is to check out this free resource:

In his FREE Affiliate's Masters Course Ken Evoy presents one very effective affiliate marketing strategy, and explains the importance of "pre-selling".

There are other successful models out there, but I can't think of a better place for new affiliates to start.

Why am I saying all this? It's simple, I want you to be able to sell a lot of copies of my book. In doing so you will make me a lot of money. And you will make yourself a lot of money, too.

"You Really Should Read My Book"

In order to tell your visitors about my book in a convincing and sincere manner, the first thing you need to do is read my book.

Besides, I'm really proud of my book, and I think you will agree that this is a high-quality offering.

If you can afford it, just buy it. Feel free to buy it with your affiliate link. That will give you almost a 60% discount (a bit less due to Clickbank's fees).

If I were selling an internet marketing product, I wouldn't allow you to buy your copy at a discount -- and that would be for your own good. Most people who buy internet marketing products know about affiliate programs, and many of the visitors you eventually send me would cut you out of your justly won commission.

But since my book is a diet book, there should be little problem allowing my affiliates to use their own ID for a discount. Very few of the visitors you send me will know how to get their discount, and you will get your commission pretty much every time.

Also, if you are an affiliate with a good track record selling your own or other people's products online, let me know and I will gladly send you a complimentary copy of my book.
